Fatin ALI MOHAMED, Ph.D, is the managing Director of Lammens Consulting Austria; the company provides services in Project management, Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management (EPCM) and in Business development. The focus is on the Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries, as well as on International development and Technical cooperation in the fields of energy, climate change and environment.

Prior to that Ms ALI MOHAMED has worked, as an Industrial Development Officer (IDO) at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Secretariat in Vienna, Austria. She worked at the Depart. of Environment and at the Depart. of Energy and Climate Change. As part of the role of IDO, she negotiates and coordinates technical cooperation programmes and projects and worked on a number of renewable energy related issues, including technology transfer, providing access to renewable energy; POPs and chemicals waste related technical assistance; best available technologies and final disposal of hazardous chemicals. All on the interface between energy and environment, poverty reduction, sustainability and SME competitiveness in developing countries and countries with economies in transition.

During the 20 years at UNIDO, she has been seconded, for 3 years, to the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, as a Programme Management Officer at the Technical Cooperation Department.

Before that she has worked as a researcher in building physics for Katholieke Universiteit, Belgium on energy efficiency in buildings and for the National Energy Administration, Sudan, on energy planning and rural energy access.

Ms. Ali Mohamed holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Université de Technologie de Compiègne, France; A M.Sc. (Chem. Eng) From Katholieke Universiteit, Leuven, Belgium; and a B.Sc. (Agric. Eng.) Honours University of Khartoum, Sudan.
